About Kate (founder)
'A passion for SA tourism, hospitality photography & marketing'
Tourism, hospitality and guest experiences have been at the heart of my career for more than 20 years.
Throughout that time, I've built extensive experience in accommodation management, tourism operations, eCommerce, digital design, photography, styling and business development. My passion has always been helping businesses and property owners present their offerings at their very best while creating memorable experiences for their guests.
One of my proudest achievements was owning and operating a 100-bed backpacker accommodation business at Glenelg Beach, incorporating a travel centre, café, bar and entertainment venue. Working closely with the South Australian Tourism Commission, the business was recognised with five State Tourism Awards, two National Tourism Awards and induction into the Tourism Hall of Fame.
Those years provided invaluable insight into every aspect of guest accommodation - from customer service and operations to presentation, marketing, property management and creating experiences that guests remember long after their stay.
Today, Holiday SA brings together everything I've learned throughout my career. I understand what guests expect, what property owners need and what it takes to deliver exceptional results in the short-term accommodation industry.
I believe the small details make the biggest difference. Whether it's preparing a property for arriving guests, capturing professional photography, coordinating services behind the scenes or helping owners maximise the potential of their investment, I approach every property with the same care and attention I would expect for my own.
